Women play vital roles in society and should not be prohibited by their monthly menstrual cycle. Through our unique product, the Glory Pad, we provide women and young girls with a quality sanitary pad that aids in the relief of abdominal pain and regulate menstrual flow to reduce irregular and painful menstrual cycles.
Our Social Investment
We have a strong capacity building component for Women from challenging backgrounds and through our official CSI partner, New Heritage Foundation, we equip women to provide menstrual hygiene management education programmes in primary and secondary schools across South Africa and teach both young girl and boys on the issue of healthy and dignified management of menstrual hygiene and puberty.
To destigmatize menstruation and provide education to boys and girls to effectively manage menses with dignity in primary and secondary schools, through education and training.
In addition to this, our vision is to empower girls and young women through menstrual hygiene management education programmes in primary and secondary schools across South Africa.
The Designer & Developer
Tanzanian born Hyasintha Ntuyeko, the designer and developer of the product the Glory Pad, researched and tested the product thoroughly with Doctors, Gynecologists and the Ministry of Health in Tanzania and finally was able to begin sales and distribution in large and smaller retail stores all across the country.
In 2017, CEO Chantelle Goliath met Hyasintha at the Africa Women Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum Conference and an immediate bond was formed. Both ladies, passionate about business, social upliftment and in particular women suffering as a lack of resources to quality and affordable sanitary supplies, is what led to a cemented business relationship.
Hyasintha is a telecom engineer, and started business immediately after completing her university studies five years ago. She is the founder and managing director of Kasole Secrets, which developed organic made sanitary napkins to solve menstrual complications for women. Hyasintha is running the Hedhi Salama (‘safe menstruation’) campaign, and pioneered the celebration of International Menstrual Hygiene day in Tanzania. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she plans to expand education programs for the training of young women and girls, and get support to take them across all of Tanzania by increasing the number of trainers able to drive the education.
We are confident that this product will lead to many young girls and women with menstrual complications like menstrual cramps, irregular menses, joints and back ache, heavy bleeding, irregular fungal infections and UTI, finding major relief during their menstrual period and be able to continue school, work and everyday activities a bit more comfortably.
